After quite a while we chose to head off to some place blanketed with snow as in the Netherlands, so far this year, we could not see the sight of snow yet. Thus, we decided to go to Winterberg, a small town in Germany, is a world famous spot for ski lovers. No snow in your country?? Oh wait, Winterberg is there. It’s a wonderful place for a weekend get away.

Things to do in Winterberg:

For ski lovers – For ski enthusiasts it’s a perfect location to ski. Almost a million of ski lovers comes every year. You can take ski classes too.

You can get all the information online. Please book for ski in advance. You can also buy tickets at the counter when you arrive there but you might not be lucky to get tickets as they get sold out exceptionally fast.

For non-ski people – It’s better to come during winters as that time you can enjoy in heavy snowfall. You can do other activities like shopping, cycling, hiking or you can drive in the city and enjoy the snowy vibe with beautiful view.

You can also go to Kahler Asten which is another mountain 10 minutes away from Winterberg.

#kajoltip: Try to book a room/ apartment with a view on the mountain side so that you can enjoy the morning coffee looking at the mesmerizing scenery.
