Hello everyone, We are here again to share some new experiences with you. This weekend, we explored a new city called Hamburg which is located in Germany. I bet you all must have heard about it. This city has so much to offer. It’s a fascinating city with the unique color of the architecture i.e. “Red”.
Hamburg is a very interesting city because of various reasons such as :
- it is Germany’s top cultural destination.
- Due to its economical growth threw out the centuries, Hamburg is known also as the wealthiest city in Germany.
- It has more bridges than London, Venice and Amsterdam together. It has over 2500 bridges.
- It has the oldest opera house in Germany.
- The world’s first modern zoo was founded here.

Places to explore
This should be in your to do list. The building in itself is exceptionally appealing because of it’s new glassy construction which resembles water waves resting on top of an old brick warehouse which was built in 1963.
It is famous for two things, first is concert hall and second is the 360 degree panoramic view. The entry is free. However you need to tickets to enter inside the building. And of course if you want to attend concert then you have to book tickets online and pay for them. You can always check for more information on their official website.
To go up to the balcony is a long escalator which takes more than 2 minutes to take you up. I surmise this is the longest escalator on which I have been. The plaza has contemplating views to admire.
There is cafe as well. You can buy coffee and enjoy it while admiring the breathtaking view😍😍😍

HOHO Bus
Hop On Hop Off bus is one of the best way to explore the city. So how could we miss that. You can buy the tickets online or offline.
This time the HOHO tour wasn’t as good as we expected. They were just going around the train station, local streets, huge warehouses and hotels etc. which I found nothing new. You can explore half part of tour walking across the streets.
The architecture definitely stands out. You can hear the audios which explains you about the history of Hamburg which gives you overall impression of the city. As I always say “better to explore, rather to regret”.

Speicherstadt
Speicherstadt is the largest warehouse district in the world. It is located in the port of Hamburg. It is one of the most popular photo spot. So, do not forget to click the pictures in front of the water castle.

Rathaus
No city in Europe is complete without the main center. The main center has city hall which is Hamburg’s seat of government. The surrounding area, you can find several cafes, food places and also a huge shopping mall as well (Europlaza).

Food and drinks
If you are a foodie and ”non-vegetarian” you will definitely find something to eat really yum. One dish that I have heard about it is fish and bread which something very famous there because of the port.
Aforementioned, I am vegetarian so more or little I had the option to order pizza, burger, pasta etc. I would highly recommend you to go to the restaurant ”Vivet”. Waiting time is little longer as it’s always jam packed there but the food is worth the wait.
Oops 😬 We were super hungry that we forgot to click the pictures of the food.
