Want to know whether Prague is worth visiting or not? Well, I am here to give you a detail of all the top activities we did.
Prague castle – is one of the largest castle complexes in the world with an area of around 70,000 m2. It has a rich history dating back to the 9th century, undergone numerous expansions and renovations over the centuries. A UNESCO World Heritage site, also serves as the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic. Visitors can explore parts of the complex and enjoy panoramic views of Prague.

Old Town Square – This is one of the most prominent square of Prague among some European cities, which attracts the millions of tourists every year. It is located between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge. I highly recommend to start your day from the square because all the touristic places are nearby, for example – Prague Castle, Astronomical clock, Dancing house, Lenon wall, Old town bridge, Train/ Horse ride in the city etc.

Prague Astronomical Clock – One of the third oldest astronomical clock in the world is mounted on the Old Town Hall. The dial represents the position of the moon and sun and every hour it rings which is fun to watch. Just be patient, if you don’t understand how to read it’s dial because it is complicated. One of the interesting fact is there are names written on the second dial and the people who have their name written on it celebrates their birthday together.

Dancing house – The iconic building also known as Ginger and Fred (as they were both famous dancers and their iconic dance moment has been represented in the architectural form), was designed in 1992 and completed four years later in 1996. The building stands out for its unique architectural design and from the roof top bar, you can enjoy one of the best view of the city.

Parague Narrowest Alley – This alley is so small that only one person can go at a time and the end of the alley there is restaurant on the canal side. So, basically you just make a round and come back. Can you believe there is a traffic light which helps with the people flow in the alley. Internet made it so famous that crowd just come to pass through this alley and I consider it as fun activity.

Charles Bridge (Old Town Bridge Tower) – The tower is just wow! The beautifully constructed gothic monument from 1357 AD, during the rule of Emperor Charles IV. You can cross the bridge and visit Mala Strana. While walking on the bridge you will admire the spectacular views around and it looks magical in the night. Also, you will spot some artists, musicians, and artisans, creating a lively atmosphere. It’s a popular spot for both tourists and locals.

Mala Strana – Mala Strana stand for “Little Side” which is located on the left bank of the river Vltava. At the end of the bridge you will see the picturesque district with colorful buildings. At night, it’s even nicer to walk there, when all the lights are on.That’s why, I am so much in love with this place that I want to go there again for the vacation

Lennon’s wall – The wall is dedicated to John Lennon where you will notice Lennon style graffiti and fragments of Beatles lyrics, also, expresses different opinions and expressions. I would say take out 30 minutes just to read what’s on the wall and then you will understand the messages behind those colors, paintings and pictures.

Streets of Prague and Shopping – Prague is famous for shopping and I, being a shopping enthusiast, was all over the places. Here are the top five picks for you to visit and shop around – Palladium, Na Příkopě Street, Westfield Chodov Shopping Center, Nový Smíchov Shopping Center, Arkády Pankrác.

When I go to some other country, I make sure to buy something for myself, for example – Watches, Jewelery, apparels, footwear, local handmade products etc. What do you like to buy for yourself? Let me know in the comments.
